Leslie's Week offers a vacation away from cancer for those families who have been given a terminal diagnosis for their wife, mother, sister, aunt, or daughter. Matt Davies's wife Sarah passed away in December of 2020 due to this horrific illness so this is a cause that is very close to home for our panel. Often missed in the process of a cancer diagnosis and fight is the importance of making memories. Matt's family attended a Leslie's Week vacation before Sarah's death and it allowed their children to spend time with their mom but also spend time with others going through the same. It allowed Matt to begin to cope with the world he would face without Sarah while in the presence of those who knew exactly what they were all dealing with. The hotel, the theme park, and the vacation were all amazing but the connections made with other families facing the same future made all the difference for Matt, Sarah, and their children.
